SOCIAL DISTANCING AND PASSENGER’S LOGBOOK IMPLEMENTED IN PUBLIC BUS TERMINALS IN BUTUAN

BUTUAN CITY – On March 16, Monday, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Caraga enforced the Memorandum Circular 2020-005 governing all PUV drivers and conductors to properly wear face masks at all times.

Social Distancing Policy is also imposed inside the bus wherein only one person should occupy per seating row to contain the possible spread of the coronavirus or COVID-19.

With this, a luxury bus that can board 37 commuters can now accommodate 19 passengers only.

All passengers are required to write down their personal information, including name, gender, address, and destination on a logbook for easy tracking if needed.

Meanwhile, under the guidelines of LTFRB, all terminal operators must provide face masks and disinfectants to the passengers. However, the said guideline is not yet imposed in public bus terminals in Butuan City or other terminals in the Caraga region.

In general, the bus drivers, conductors, and even passengers are reminded to cooperate and do their part to avoid the deadly disease.
