PRO 13 USES THERMAL SCANNER AS SECURITY MEASURE AGAINST COVID-19

BUTUAN CITY - This is the third week after Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 implemented the body temperature monitoring of every police and civilian entering the premises, as part of the security measure directed to prevent the spread of Coronavirus disease – COVID-19.
At the entrance, there is a police nurse in position with a thermal scanner to help detect each person coming in who might be feverish.
If the body temperature is above 37.6 degrees Celsius, that person will not be allowed to enter and will be taken to the Regional Health Service emergency room for further investigation.
In the last three weeks, no one was sent to the emergency room because of COVID-19 symptoms.
Health service continues as the threat of the deadly disease remains.
