PEDICAB DRIVER NABBED IN BUTUAN BUY-BUST OPERATION

BUTUAN CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Caraga and Butuan City Police forces arrested a pedicab driver in a buy-bust operation on March 4, Wednesday.

The suspect identified as Jeffrey Comad Briones alias Popoy, 21 years old, resident of Purok 6 Barangay Ampayon.

PLt. Abel Bulawan, spokesperson in Butuan City Police Office (BCPO), said in an interview that Briones is a newly identified drug personality.

Police seized the suspected shabu weighing 0.124 grams and another 0.23 grams with a combined value of more than P4,000.

The suspect is detained at Butuan City Police Station 4 and facing charges for violating Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
