PBGEN. ESQUIVEL JR RETIRES AS PRO-13 REGIONAL DIRECTOR

BUTUAN CITY – Brigadier General Romeo Caramat, Jr officially took over as the new PRO-13 Regional Director after Police Brigadier General Joselito T. Esquivel, Jr retired from the position on September 17, Thursday. The change of command ceremony happened on the outgoing director’s birthday, headed by the Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Camilo Pancratius Cascolan.
PBGEn. Esquivel assumed the responsibility in PRO-13 on September 13, 2019, for 36 months, and served in PNP for 26 years and five months.
In his message, Esquivel Jr. read the tour of duty report or the accomplishments during the 36 months of his leadership as regional director, including the 94.83% crime clearance efficiency and 79.02% crime solution efficiency.
Among the 17 regions, PRO-13 maintained the number one spot in filing a lawsuit for murder cases. 1,294 out of 1,388 death incidents, or 93.23%, were solved.
The count of arrested drug personalities reached 459, which resulted in confiscating 11-million worth of drugs.
He said his journey was not easy, but he’s grateful to the local officials and policemen of the region for the support.
