LTFRB CARAGA: NO FARE INCREASE IMPLEMENTATION ON ALL PUVs

BUTUAN CITY – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Caraga immediately issued an advisory today, October 26, clarifying that it is not enforcing fare increase on all public utility vehicles in the region.
This is after the agency received complaints regarding drivers asking twice the regular fare from passengers.
In the advisory, the fare matrix remains as usual despite the reduced seating capacity in public transportation, wherein nine pesos in a traditional PUJ and eleven pesos in a modern PUJ for every four kilometers, and additional 1.50 pesos and 1.80 pesos respectively for every succeeding kilometer.
