DSWD CARAGA PREPARES MORE THAN 15,000 FAMILY FOOD PACKS


BUTUAN CITY - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga has started repacking 15,599 initial food packs for families affected by the COVID-19 crisis in the region.

Each relief good has 6-kilo rice, 6 sachets of 3 in 1 coffee, 4 canned sardines, and 4 canned beef loaf or corned beef. The said agency has also prepared hygiene kits.

Davey Reyes, the spokesperson of DSWD Caraga, said they are just waiting for the request from the local government units or LGUs to begin the distribution - adding that there are already prepositioned family food packs in some areas such as:

SURIGAO CITY SAN JOSE TANDAG CITY PROSPERIDAD PATIN AY TINIWISAN MAIN HUB DAPA

Meanwhile, the said agency continues to repack the relief goods and provides assistance through their programs while observing the protocols to beat the Coronavirus.

DSWD Caraga reassures that they have enough budget allocated for those who need help due to COVID-19.
