DRIVERS AND BUS CONDUCTORS IN CARAGA WILL PAY FINES IF THEY ARE VIOLATING THE FACE MASK POLICY

BUTUAN CITY -The Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board, or LTFRB Caraga, is announcing to their drivers and public transportation conductors to follow the strict policy of wearing a face mask. If someone violates the rule, there will be fines ranging from 5000 PHP for the first offense, 10,000 PHP for the second offense, and 15,000 PHP or suspension from the franchise for the 3rd offense.

Under Executive Order No. 19 Localized Community Quarantine, it contains section 4 that emphasizes the mandatory wearing of masks to all citizens when going outside.

The LTFRB Caraga Director, Maria Kristina Cassion, says that as early as March 13, they are starting to catch several transgressing drivers violating the policy. The department is asking all public transportation drivers and conductors to follow the orders of the authority, for the sake of the whole.
