DOH CARAGA REPORTS 12 LOCAL TRANSMISSION CASES, 2 DEATHS IN BUTUAN CITY

BUTUAN CITY - In an evening on August 16, Sunday, the Department of Health (DOH) Caraga announced 12 new local transmission cases of COVID-19 in Butuan City based on the RT-PCR test results, wherein two deaths recorded.
One of the two patients who died was a 35-year old from Brgy. Ambago, Butuan City. According to reports, the said patient died 4 days after being admitted to the hospital.
The second patient who died was a resident of Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte, and was confined in a hospital on August 11 but died 24 hours later. The said patient had pre-existing health conditions.
According to DOH Caraga Regional Director Dr. Jose Llacuna Jr., the expired patients were immediately buried. Dr. Llacuna also assured that the contacted persons identified through contact-tracing will undergo the RT-PCT test.
" Na-identify na, in fact mag-swab na ang atong mga direct nila karon didto sa kitcharao ug dinhi sa Butuan and will be examine either by Butuan Medical Center kay magsugod naman sila karon hinay-hinay or to Davao namo ipadala dayun, said the regional director."
(The individuals in direct contact with the patients in Kitcharao and here in Butuan were already identified, and in fact, will have the SWAB test, and will be examined either by Butuan Medical Center or will be sent to Davao.)
