BUTUAN IMPOSES GENERAL CURFEW, POLICE FIND PEOPLE STILL STAYING OUT

BUTUAN CITY – On March 15, Sunday evening, the city of Butuan started informing the public about the implementation of the general curfew hours as part of the undertaking measures by the authorities to contain the possible local transmission of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
On Sunday night, the Police Station 1 was roving within its territorial jurisdiction to announce that wandering the streets is prohibited to minors and even to adults starting from 10 PM to 4 AM.
However, when the Police Station 3 was roaming around at 10 PM, many were still staying outside, such as employees hanging out after work and street vendors.
Meanwhile, according to PLt. Abel Bulawan, the spokesperson in Butuan City Police Office (BCPO), the business establishments and travels will continue operating. Other exempted from the curfew are those who are nightshift workers.
PLt. Bulawan further said that if you are being questioned, just explain to the police to avoid having records.
