BUTUAN CITY STARTS DISINFECTION IN PUBLIC PLACES
BUTUAN CITY - The local government of Butuan through the Incident Management Team's Operation Section has started disinfecting the public areas in a bid to avoid the spread of COVID-19 virus in the city, in compliance with the Executive Order no. 018 series of 2020, Section 6, or the Mandatory Disinfection.
The City hall, Capitol, Gaisano, Robinson's Mall, Guingona Park, and Butuan Medical Center are among the places being disinfected.
May Diez, the spokesperson of Butuan City LGU, said that with the help of the chemists and chemical engineer volunteers, they have made a disinfectant solution, wherein the disinfection team produced 4,000 liters of the same on the first day of operation.
The local government also reassures the disinfection on all roads and other primary areas in the city.
In the meantime, the Incident Management Team has been conducting meetings to discuss how often and until when the disinfection will take effect.
