BRGY. LIBERTAD CAPTAIN, SEVERAL BRGY. STAFF IN ISOLATION AFTER THE DEATH OF A BRGY. CLERK
BUTUAN CITY - A barangay clerk in Libertad, Butuan City, has died. Because of this, barangay captain Menchie Rosario and several barangay staff, to which the clerk was in close contact with, voluntarily isolated themselves. However, Captain Rosario clarified the Department of Health (DOH) has yet to confirm if it was due to the COVID-19 virus.
“Gi-kasubo gyud namo nga one of my staff, namatay siya pero dili nagpasabot nga COVID iyang gikamatyan. It’s only the DOH can tell kung unsa gyud ang cause sa iyang death, so sa pagkakaron gahulat pa mi ana,” said the barangay captain.
(We are sad by the passing of one of our staff, but it doesn’t mean it was a COVID-related death. It’s only the DOH can tell the cause of death. As of now, we are still waiting for it.)
While the captain and her constituents are in isolation, the operational transaction in barangay is currently limited.
