BCPO APPREHENDS HUNDREDS OF VIOLATORS IN OPLAN SITA

BUTUAN CITY – Hundreds of violators busted during the one-time, big-time operation or “OPLAN SITA” conducted by the Butuan City Police Office were brought to the Sports Complex, Libertad for profiling on September 3, Thursday.
In an interview, PLt. Abel Bulawan confirmed the violations include;
No quarantine pass or not following the color-coding quarantine pass,
Minors roaming around beyond curfew hours,
Not wearing a face mask,
Back riding policy violation
PLt. Bulawan said he is disappointed because, despite the endeavors of the local government in curving the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the city, many individuals continue to violate the safety guidelines, even the basic ones.
The police officer further said that the increasing record of violators nabbed in the ongoing operation implies that policemen are not relaxed in doing their duties.
“Sa atong mga violators dili nato i-relax atong hunahuna because once nga madakpan mo, makuha… Masita, adunay igo nga penalty nga ge impose 1st offense aduna tay isa ka libo . 2nd offense tres mil ikatulo nga offense five thousand pesos plus pagka priso so atong kana hunahunaon daan nga dili ta mangita ug problema,” said PLt. Abel Bulawan.
(To the violators, they should not be complacent because once caught, there is a penalty imposed of 1,000 pesos for 1st offense, 3,000 pesos for 2nd offense, and imprisonment plus 5,000 pesos for the 3rd offense, that they should bear in mind.)
Police forces urge the public to support and cooperate to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease in the city.
