AMENDMENTS TO MGCQ GUIDELINES, MINORS AND SENIORS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO GO OUT

BUTUAN CITY – On June 5, Friday, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) issued Resolution No. 43 or the Amendments to Guidelines on Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
IATF Resolution No. 41 that was issued last week had allowed the minors and seniors to go out. However, one of the revisions under the new resolution No. 43 is to once again ban the minors (21 years old – below) and senior citizens from going out of the house.
According to the Butuan City – LGU spokesperson May Diez, the city is automatically adapting to the said guidelines. Diez further said that they are already coordinating with the police forces and other law enforcers to reprimand those who are caught violating the guidelines.
Meanwhile, senior citizens, PWDs, and pregnant women who are permitted to go inside the business establishments are still allowed to go out on Sundays.
Underage students can go out as long as it is a school-related reason and they can provide proof.
The new guidelines aim to control the movements of the people because minors and seniors are high risks to COVID-19.
