51 STUDENTS OF CARAGA STATE UNIVERSITY STRANDED AMID LOCALIZED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE

BUTUAN CITY – The localized community quarantine enforcement in Butuan City left 51 students of Caraga State University stranded, unable to go back to their homes.
According to the president of the said university, Dr. Anthony Penaso, only 50 out of more than 100 students stranded from the start of the implementation of quarantines and lockdowns were able to go home. Among the stranded students are from Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, and even Luzon.
In line with this, the university is actively coordinating with different LGUs for the stranded students who are now scheduled to travel back home.
However, some of the students like Wendylyn Adorable, who is from Cavity, decided to remain at the university to evade the possibility of being infected while traveling. These students received food packs comprising rice, canned goods, coffee, and noodles from CSU.
Wendylyn takes this time as an opportunity to finish her projects. She also urges other students to follow the guidelines given by the government and to stay home to avoid the spread of the coronavirus disease.
