32 PNP, AFP, IPs, FORMER REBELS IN AGUSAN DEL NORTE BENEFITED FROM THE FREE TRAINING BY TESDA


BUTUAN CITY – Amidst the COVID-19 virus crisis, TESDA Caraga in partnership with various government agencies and local government unit, launches a new project P.E.A.C.E (People Empowerment in Agriculture for Community Enterprise) on August 28, Friday, an initiative to train those who are affected by the armed conflict.


32 highly specialized trainees composing former rebels, PNP, military, and indigenous people who have successfully trained by TESDA Agusan Del Norte. These 32 program graduates will be the ones to train the beneficiaries in selected NPA-infiltrated areas, prioritized by the agency. Then once equipped, they will train the beneficiaries in their respective communities.


This program aims to ensure the safety of food produced through organic farming despite the pandemic and to strengthen the Executive Order 70 or the End local communist armed conflict.


P.E.A.C.E also encourages the local farmers to improve their knowledge through learning new technologies in used for farming.


“We are hoping that after this training of trainers they will become the lead trainers for different learning site for the different training that we will conduct”, said Ashary Banto, Regional Director of TESDA Caraga.
