3 MEN ARRESTED IN BRGY. TAGUIBO DRUG BUY-BUST OPERATION

BRGY. TAGUIBO, BUTUAN CITY - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Caraga nabbed 3 suspected men in the drug buy-bust operation on January 16, Thursday at Purok 3-A Barangay Taguibo, Butuan City.


In the report, the suspects are identified as Joshua Dingcong Golez (29 yrs. Old), single, a farmer, Almar Trazona Sido (31 yrs. Old), single, contractor, and Chember Clean “Odo” Maglangit Menenio (23 yrs. Old), single, a Coke panel helper. All are residents in Butuan City.


“Nasapon jud nila ning tulo ka mga suspetsado ug karon anaa na kini sa atong kustodiya,” said Dindo Abellanosa, spokesperson in PDEA Caraga.


(We caught these 3 suspects. Now they are in the custody of PDEA Caraga.)


The captives are target listed drug personalities in PDEA Caraga.


“Atong nadakpan gahapon, target listed ni sila sa atong buhatan ug gipahigayunan ni sila ug gitawag nato ug monitoring ug surveillance ato pang miaging tuig,” he said.


(The 3 men arrested yesterday are targets listed in our agency. Since last year, we conducted the monitoring and surveillance of these men.)


An estimated 0.2 grams of Marijuana, worth ₱1,360 and 5 grams of shabu, worth ₱600 seized from the suspects.

Two of the suspects are residents of Barangay Taguibo, where it is one of the areas in Butuan City that is not yet drug cleared.


“… Ang isa ani taga barangay Cabcabon, kining duha taga barangay Taguibo. Kining barangay Taguibo, nag-process ni siya karon ug drug clearing operation. Dili man gud ta maka-deklara ug barangay na drug-cleared kung naa pa sa atong monitor ug sa atong reports nga madawat sa area nga naa pa gihapon naglangbigit sa illegal na droga,” he said.


(One of them is from barangay Cabcabon. The other two are from barangay Taguibo wherein the said barangay is still processing the drug clearing operation. We cannot declare the area as drug-cleared when there are still illegal drug activities reported from that area.)


For now, the suspects are facing charges for violating Section 5 and 11 of R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
